# How to use these artworks

All the artworks in this guide can be downloaded from [The Greats](https://thegreats.co/), a free vault with carefully curated socially engaged visual content open to activists and nonprofits to use or adapt non-commercially. The Greats already features thousands of illustrations by hundreds of artists from around the world, on topics ranging from women’s rights, LGBT rights, freedom of expression, hate speech, resilience, to many more. The Greats is a project by [Fine Acts](https://fineacts.co/).

All artworks published on The Greats can be used for free under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International ([CC BY-NC-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/#)) license.

In short, this means that:

{% hint style="info" %}
You can only use the artworks for non-commercial purposes.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
You can copy and redistribute the artworks in any medium or format.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
You can remix, transform, and build upon the artworks (е.g. change or translate the copy). However, in these cases, you must indicate that changes were made, and must share your content under the same license as ours (see next).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
You must always give [appropriate credit](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/#) to the author, provide a [link](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/#) to the license, and [indicate if changes were made](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/#).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
If you remix, transform, or build upon the artworks, you must distribute your contributions under the [same license](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/#) as the original.
{% endhint %}
